On 15th December 2020, Amity Taekwon-Do hosted a coloured belt grading and black belt assessment evening conducted by UTA Chairman Master G Horan 7th Degree at our Northampton Taekwon-Do Dojang in Walgrave.
After months of continued training through difficult times, including many lessons online via Zoom, 10 Coloured Belts and 5 Black Belts took their gradings/assessments. All students passed with tremendous merit, as noted by Master Horan at the end of the grading.
After the conclusion of the grading and assessments, we were treated to a lesson by Master Horan. We covered how our patterns could be applied with a more self-defence mind set by focusing on the purpose and application of each movement. Master Horan also discussed the differences between Jumping, Flying and Mid-Air Strikes along with various other technical corrections to our Taekwon-Do movements.
Amity Taekwon-Do would like to congratulate each student who graded or took their assessment and say thank you to Master Horan for his time in coming to Northampton especially for this grading.
